USDA National Organic Program - Instruction on How to Certify Organic Crop Production
The basic requirements of certification and how to apply for the certification of lands and crops to trade organic products certified in the program.
Jeffry Evard is the Certification Manager for Ecocert ICO, located in Plainfield, Indiana. He is responsible for overseeing the organic certification and re-certification processes for 600+ US and Canada ECOCERT clients. Ecocert ICO is an accredited certifier of the USDA NOP Program. Based in Plainfield, Indiana, ICO specializes in certifying organic grains and grain handling facilities in 30 states, Canada, Fiji, and the Caribbean. Part of the Ecocert global group, ICO facilitates exports to the EU, South Korea, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, Switzerland, and other countries. Jeff holds an Associate's and Bachelor's degrees from Purdue University in Horticulture and Agronomy (1996). He is the owner of One Sky Agriculture Enterprises providing consultation services for organic . He has served Purdue University by working on the Dean of Agriculture Advisory Council.
