New developments in farm machinery has also impacted planter technologies in the last few years that is available for producers. In this presentation, I will discuss results from replicated field research trials which involved high-speed or multi-hybrid planter technologies. The presentation will also cover the potential implications for crop management practices of these new technologies.


Péter Kovács

South Dakota State University

Dr. Péter Kovács is an Assistant Professor in the Agronomy, Horticulture, and Plant Science Department at South Dakota State University. He earned his PhD degree, and also work as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Purdue University prior to joining SDSU in 2016. Peter’s research interest in Precision Agriculture and Cropping Systems. His program focuses to improve production systems through understanding interactions between genetics, environment and management practices of crop production. The program also seek ways to integrate new technologies into current practices.
