New Soybean Defoliation Thresholds
Defoliators are among the most commonly found insect pests of soybean. A recent study funded by the North Central Soybean Research Program resulted in updated economic thresholds for defoliating insects in soybean to reflect modern commodity prices. This talk will discuss the implications and application of these thresholds, as well as the status of defoliating insects in the Midwest and management tactics for these pests.
