Integrated Management of Diseases and Mycotoxins in Soft Red Winter
Foliar diseases and Fusarium head blight affect yield and grain quality. Rainy and wet conditions favor the development of many diseases throughout the wheat growing season. Scouting fields at the right time to determine which disease is present and at what level is essential in making the most effective and profitable management decisions. We will discuss the primary diseases found from northern to southern Indiana, when to scout, recommended integrated strategies to manage these diseases, and mycotoxin mitigation.
