On the Hunt: Wading Through Farm Specific Data for Improved Profitability and Value-added Opportunities.

By analyzing readily available on-farm data and observations, farmers can improve their Return on Investment (ROI), with additional opportunities to bring back more birds such as quail to the farm.

Biography

Shannon Zezula is the State Resource Conservationist for USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service in Indiana.  In this position, he and his staff of technical experts provide the technical standards to help the local NRCS experts and partners help farmers address their environmental resource concerns.  Shannon is a graduate of Purdue and The Ohio State University, and is a native of Wells Co, Indiana.  He currently resides in Brownsburg, Indiana, where he enjoys spending time with his wife, 2 kids, and 2 vizslas and rooting on the Colts and Boilers and hunting, trapping, and fishing when he can.

Brianne Lowe

Biography

Brianne Lowe is the State Biologist for USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service in Indiana, where she has spent the last 18 years working with agricultural conservation programs.  She has a passion for soil health, water conservation, and helping landowners manage for wildlife in an integrated, multi-use landscape. She is a graduate of Purdue and Southern Illinois Universities, and has worked for Hoosier Heartland RC&D and the Indiana State Department of Agriculture.  She currently resides with her family in Hendricks County on 17 acres where they can grow a little food, a lot of chores, and a little wildlife of their own.
