Dr. Kovács is an Assistant Professor in the Agronomy, Horticulture, and Plant Science Department at South Dakota State University. He joined SDSU in 2016 with a research interest in Precision Agriculture and Cropping Systems. His applied research program focuses the enhancement of agronomic efficiency and stress resilience of crop production in South Dakota while reducing environmental impacts through better understanding on the interactions between genetics, environment, and management practices. In addition, the program seeks ways to evaluate emerging or upcoming production systems and resources (e.g., new equipment, or updated equipment technology) and their suitability in the South Dakota production environment.
He earned his PhD degree from Purdue University and his MSc degrees from Cranfield University (UK), and Szent István University (Hungary).
