Dr. Yichao Rui is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agronomy at Purdue University. He is the Principal Investigator of the Purdue Agroecology Lab. He received his Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from Nankai University, and PhDs from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Microbial Ecology) and Griffith University of Australia (Soil Science). His research focuses on unraveling the mechanistic processes that drive soil and crop resilience. His program aims to integrate ecological principles into modern cropping systems to enhance their productivity, stability, and long-term sustainability.
