Dr. Robert Miller

Dr. Miller joined the faculty of Colorado State University as an affiliate Professor in Soils and Crop Sciences in 1997. He was raised on a farm in eastern Nebraska and received his degrees from the University of Nebraska, and Montana State University and served as extension soil specialist at UC Davis for nine years. In 2015 he received the Soil Science Industry & Professional Leadership Award. He has extensive expertise in soil testing, agricultural laboratory analyses and coordinating four inter-laboratory proficiency programs (ALP, CAP, USGA-PT and MAP) across multiple analytical disciplines as well as conducting educational lab workshops. His research has focused on soil sampling, lab methodologies, and crop nutrition. For the past 11 years he has coordinated a corn potassium study across 182 locations across the Midwest evaluating soil K fertility and corn nutrition.
